Industrial Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong mechanical background to lead industrial and building‑services upgrades in live operational environments for our Wellington team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver critical building services upgrades while keeping essential services operational.
• Lead disruption and outage planning to minimise downtime and manage dependencies.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans covering scope, programme, budget, risk, reporting and governance.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and client stakeholders through design, procurement, delivery and handover.
• Support commissioning, testing and handover to ensure systems perform as intended.
• Maintain a strong health and safety focus throughout delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project delivery experience in industrial, infrastructure or building‑services environments.
• Strong mechanical background gained through engineering, construction, contracting or project delivery.
• Proven experience delivering mechanical or building‑services upgrades in live or operational settings.
• Confidence working with technical information and coordinating across multiple disciplines.
• Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, water or other critical operational environments is an advantage.
