Identity Engineer (12-Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Identity Engineer to join a 12‑month contract in Auckland. The role will focus on modernising a large‑scale workforce identity environment and supporting cloud migration initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Modernise workforce identity capabilities and integrate them with cloud services across enterprise systems.
• Implement and enhance IAM controls, including Identity Governance.
• Collaborate with security, architecture and application teams to uplift authentication, federation and access standards.
• Support secure access throughout the identity lifecycle, covering privileged access and access‑risk management.

Required profile

• Proven end‑to‑end IAM / workforce identity delivery experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with both technical and business audiences.
• Experience delivering identity solutions as part of larger enterprise programs.

Required skills

• Microsoft Entra ID and Azure identity services.
• Privileged Access Management.
• Federation technologies.
• Authentication standards.
• Access risk concepts (e.g., toxic access combinations).
• Identity Governance.
