HR Manager – Site Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR delivery at our Takaanini manufacturing site in Auckland. Reporting to the Site Manager and working closely with the Head of Industrial & Supply Chain HR, you will partner with site leadership to build a safe, engaged and high‑performing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end HR support covering workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, engagement, culture, change management and employee relations.
• Partner with site and business leaders to drive capability building, engagement initiatives and cultural change.
• Lead employee‑relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances and resolution pathways.
• Manage compliance obligations, workforce risk and support local industrial‑relations activities such as union engagement.
• Coach and upskill leaders on people management, performance conversations and organisational effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyse people metrics to identify trends and implement actions that improve workforce outcomes.
• Collaborate with Health and Safety to support safety leadership and compliance.

Required profile

• Pragmatic and influential HR professional who thrives in a site‑based operational environment.
• Proven generalist HR experience in manufacturing or similar industrial settings.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and drive change across a large, diverse workforce.
