HR Generalist – New Zealand & Australia

About the role

We are looking for a career‑oriented HR Generalist to manage the full spectrum of human resources operations for our Sensient New Zealand and Australia business. The role is based 100% onsite at our Mt Wellington office and supports both the New Zealand and Australian teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR advisor for day‑to‑day queries, building relationships with leaders and staff across Oceania.
• Partner with the HR Director to investigate and resolve workplace grievances.
• Oversee end‑to‑end employee lifecycle from onboarding to off‑boarding for all Oceania staff.
• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for local positions and coordinate with the APAC HR group for key roles, handling job postings, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Deliver compliance training on Code of Conduct, anti‑bribery policies and other assigned topics.
• Serve as the key user and knowledge holder for HRIS, time‑and‑attendance, payroll, recruiting and L&D systems.
• Process and manage third‑party supplier invoices for HR, benefits, recruitment and fleet management.
• Collaborate with the regional APAC team to meet business performance goals and optimise HR operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources or a Business‑related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with increasing responsibility, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Can‑do attitude and servant‑leadership mindset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to connect with people at all levels and across cultures.
• Good knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, local employment regulations.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite in an office and manufacturing setting.
