HR Business Partner or Associate – People & Culture

About the role

Massey University’s People and Culture team is looking for talented HR professionals to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking service. You can apply for an entry‑level HR Associate position or a more senior HR Business Partner role, both focused on delivering trusted HR advice and support across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Support leaders in building engaged, high‑performing teams.
• Provide advice across the full employee lifecycle, including employment relations, change management, performance and career development.
• Contribute to the development and application of HR best practice, policy and compliance.
• For HR Associates: deliver operational HR support and work closely with Business Partners on advisory and project work.
• For HR Business Partners: act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, lead complex advisory, organisational development and change initiatives.

• Competitive salary (Grade 6 for Associates: $71,274‑$101,329; Grade 7 for Business Partners: $83,818‑$117,788).
