Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

As the Housekeeping Supervisor at Mantra Lake Tekapo, you will lead a dedicated housekeeping team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a stunning lakeside resort. You will combine hands‑on cleaning duties with coaching and scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support daily housekeeping activities, allocating rooms and tasks to team members.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, productivity, and safety in line with company guidelines.
• Conduct daily room inspections and monitor labour costs.
• Provide training, guidance, and motivation to develop team skills and morale.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the property.

Required profile

• NZ Diploma or equivalent, or at least 3 years of relevant housekeeping leadership experience.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to think quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
• Professional appearance and personal grooming standards.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Leadership experience in housekeeping.
• Knowledge of safety and cleaning standards.
