Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor works closely with the Head Housekeeper to ensure the hotel maintains five‑star boutique luxury standards of cleanliness and guest care. You will lead a team of Room Attendants, Self‑Checkers and Team Leaders, delivering the brand’s unique "MGallery Magic" experience.

Key responsibilities

• Determine daily work requirements and allocate duties across the housekeeping team.
• Oversee team performance, suggest improvements, and act on guest feedback.
• Inspect rooms, manage productivity, and ensure compliance with hotel and brand standards.
• Develop and run an on‑job training programme; induct new staff during their first week.
• Create weekly rosters at least fourteen days in advance, balancing service quality and labour cost.
• Maintain security of guest rooms and keys, and ensure safe storage and use of cleaning equipment.
• Manage the hire‑and‑clean laundry operation, control linen usage, and handle guest laundry and lost property.
• Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance to prepare "ready" rooms, VIP amenities, and special requests.
• Communicate health, safety and environmental policies to all staff and contractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising housekeeping operations in a luxury or boutique hotel.
• Strong knowledge of brand standards, health & safety procedures, and linen management.
• Ability to train, coach and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills for briefings, guest interaction and inter‑departmental liaison.
• Organisational talent to develop rosters, manage inventory and handle special guest requests promptly.
