Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant – Fixed‑Term (32 hrs/week)

About the role

Summerset is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant for its Wigram village. This full‑time, fixed‑term position runs from July 2026 to July 2027, offering 32 hours per week across a set shift pattern. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, their families, and fellow team members.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry facilities, and kitchen spaces.
• Launder, fold, label, mend and return residents’ clothing and linens with care.
• Support infection‑control measures and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Build respectful, friendly relationships with residents, understanding their individual needs.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering clean environments.
• Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Genuine interest in aged‑care; full training will be provided.
