Hospitality Tutor

About the role

Join New Zealand Management Academies as a Hospitality Tutor at the Sylvia Park campus. You will coach and mentor students aspiring to become skilled hospitality professionals, guiding them through practical training and industry insight.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Hospitality Programme covering food & beverage, accommodation services and tourism‑hospitality links.
• Provide hands‑on coaching, mentorship and feedback to develop students’ technical and soft skills.
• Stay current with industry trends and embed best practices into classroom activities.
• Support students in achieving their study objectives and preparing for supervisory or junior management roles.

Required profile

• Minimum three years recent experience in a hospitality management position.
• Relevant qualification at Level 5 or higher (or equivalent experience).
• Strong communicator able to motivate and inspire young adults.
• Respectful of diversity and able to build positive relationships with all students.

Required skills

• Comprehensive understanding of hospitality management and operations.
• Experience across a broad range of front‑of‑house (FOH) roles.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
