Horticulture Response Operator – Hastings

About the role

Join our Hastings Horticulture Team as a Horticulture Response Operator. You will work outdoors maintaining green spaces, supporting a range of planting, landscaping and vegetation‑control activities while ensuring public areas remain safe and attractive.

Key responsibilities

• Plant, weed, mulch and perform vegetation‑control tasks across parks, streets and public gardens.
• Install and maintain park infrastructure such as bollards, picnic tables and signage.
• Operate mowing equipment and assist with broader landscaping projects, including street gardens.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Required profile

• Full NZ driver’s licence (manual transmission) with the ability to tow a trailer.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding manual work.
• Team‑player attitude with a proactive approach to getting the job done.
• Previous experience in horticulture, landscaping or a similar outdoor role is preferred.
