Heartbeat AED Manager

About the role

The Heartbeat AED Manager will lead the sales, delivery and maintenance of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) across Greater Wellington, Wairarapa and surrounding regions. This role supports the Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat Programme, helping communities learn CPR and know where the nearest AED is.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enquiries from organisations and individuals interested in purchasing AEDs.
• Coordinate sales processes, including quoting, ordering and delivery logistics.
• Oversee installation, testing and ongoing maintenance of deployed AEDs.
• Maintain accurate customer and AED inventory records.
• Support marketing initiatives to raise awareness of the Heartbeat Programme.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Communications Centre and event medical teams to ensure AED availability at community events.

Required profile

• Strong interest in community health and emergency response.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Experience in sales or equipment management is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AED operation and maintenance.
• Experience with inventory or asset management systems.
