About the role
Medical Assurance Society NZ is seeking a senior leader to direct its information security function. The Head of Information Security will be responsible for shaping the organisation’s cyber security strategy, protecting information assets and enhancing overall resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement a comprehensive cyber security and information protection framework aligned with business objectives.
- Lead risk assessment, threat monitoring and incident response activities across the organisation.
- Collaborate with IT, compliance and business units to ensure security controls are integrated into systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and resilience plans to safeguard critical operations.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on emerging security trends and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in senior security leadership roles within complex organisations.
- Strong understanding of cyber security, information protection and resilience concepts.
- Ability to influence and communicate security strategy to executive stakeholders.
