Head of Engineering (Global QSR Technology)

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the executive team, you will shape Fingermark’s technology strategy and lead the delivery of complex, real‑world solutions for the quick‑service restaurant sector. The role combines strategic planning, engineering leadership and hands‑on delivery across software, platforms, infrastructure and field‑deployed hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Set and deliver the engineering and technology roadmap in partnership with the CEO.
• Lead development and delivery of Fingermark’s technology across software, platforms, infrastructure and field‑deployed hardware.
• Ensure systems are scalable, reliable and meet business and customer needs.
• Translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions and integrations.
• Oversee quality assurance, data protection and cybersecurity, including SOC 2 and PCI compliance.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams, building accountability and capability.

Required profile

• Proven engineering leader with executive‑level experience and strong technical credibility.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business priorities into a focused technology roadmap.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets, planning and resource allocation.
