Head of Commercial – New Zealand

About the role

Jetstar is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive the growth of its New Zealand operations. Reporting directly to senior Qantas Group leaders, you will shape and execute the commercial strategy across domestic and trans‑Tasman markets, acting as the primary Jetstar representative in‑country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement local commercial strategies covering pricing, network performance, sales channels and product optimisation.
• Provide input on fleet, capacity and route planning decisions.
• Lead revenue growth initiatives and market development activities.
• Manage key relationships with government bodies, airports, tourism organisations and other external stakeholders.
• Represent Jetstar publicly, handling media engagement and championing the brand.

Required profile

• Significant experience in the aviation industry or closely related sectors such as airlines, airports, tourism or transport.
• Proven track record in commercial strategy, revenue leadership and market expansion.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills within a matrixed organisation.
• Ability to translate local market insights into actionable business strategies.
