About the role

Plateau Restaurant is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen in Taupo Central. You will inspire a well‑established team, craft exceptional fusion dishes, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food quality.
• Develop innovative menus that reflect the restaurant’s fusion concept.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budget targets.
• Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve peak performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food‑handling regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior culinary role, preferably as a Head or Executive Chef.
• Strong leadership abilities with a passion for team development.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
