Ground Operations Supervisor

About the role

DHL Express is looking for a motivated Ground Operations Supervisor to lead its courier fleet in Auckland Penrose. You will ensure safe, efficient and on‑time delivery while upholding DHL’s high standards of compliance and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily fleet operations to guarantee safe and timely service delivery.
• Monitor performance, enforce DHL policies and maintain compliance with transport regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance processes and operational efficiency.
• Make rapid decisions to resolve operational issues and minimise service disruptions.
• Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee fleet equipment maintenance and ensure proactive addressing of service needs.
• Lead, coach and develop team members, fostering a safety‑focused, high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or transport operations.
• Previous team‑leader or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid New Zealand driving licence.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday and occasional weekends between 6 am‑6 pm.
