Graphic Designer – Audio

About the role
Join NZME’s Audio team and create visual content that connects listeners to our radio brands, podcasts and digital platforms. You will support the Eyes to Ears digital strategy by delivering high‑impact design for campaigns, promotions and everyday assets, working closely with the Digital & Social Content Director – Audio and cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Create brand assets – imagery, motion graphics and video – for shows, podcasts and campaigns.
- Partner with Digital, Content and Commercial teams to take ideas from concept to execution.
- Identify content opportunities using Digital Content and Promo Calendars.
- Adapt designs for different audiences, platforms and brand tones.
- Maintain social templates and creative that reflect current trends and best practice.
- Support client campaigns by delivering high‑quality, engaging assets.
- Use insights and performance data to refine and optimise creative output.
- Contribute ideas that boost audience engagement across digital and on‑air platforms.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging design, digital and social media trends.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of graphic design experience.
- Relevant qualification in Graphic Design or Visual Communication.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating layout, typography, brand and campaign work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Proactive, positive team player who welcomes feedback.
Required skills
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects (advantage)
- AI generation tools for design (e.g., Midjourney, DALL·E)
- HTML5 and GIF creation (preferred)
