Graduate Program – Financial Advisory in Auckland

About the role

Join Grant Thornton’s 2027 Graduate Program in Financial Advisory and start your professional journey in Auckland. You will work alongside senior partners on real client projects, gaining exposure to restructuring, valuation and transaction advisory services from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Financial Advisory Services team on restructuring and reorganisation assignments.
• Assist in valuation and transaction advisory engagements for a diverse client base.
• Conduct analytical research, data analysis and prepare client‑ready reports.
• Collaborate with mentors and senior staff to develop solutions that address client challenges.
• Participate in firm‑wide initiatives, including flexible‑working pilots and community volunteer days.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (final year or graduated within the last 12 months).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Right to work in New Zealand.
• Willingness to pursue a professional designation such as CFA, CA or CPA.
• Proactive, curious and comfortable embracing change.
