Graduate Consulting – Cyber Security Program (2027)

About the role

Join Grant Thornton’s 2027 Graduate Programme in Consulting, focusing on Cyber Security. The role is designed for recent graduates or final‑year students to work across our Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch offices, gaining hands‑on experience in security testing, networking and broader consulting services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with cyber security assessments, including network and infrastructure reviews.
• Support security testing activities and help develop remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal consulting teams on internal audit, risk management and project delivery.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions led by subject‑matter experts.

Required profile

• Engineering or Science degree (or combined) – preferably with a cyber security major.
• Final year of study or graduated within the last 12 months.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Energetic, proactive and eager to continuously learn.

Required skills

• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and security testing principles.
• Entry‑level cyber security certifications such as Security+, SC‑900, AZ‑500 or ISC2 CC (or working towards them).
