Global Legal Lead – Privacy and Data Enablement

About the role

Gallagher is seeking a Global Legal Lead to drive privacy, data governance, and responsible AI across its expanding portfolio of digital products and services. This senior position sits at the intersection of legal, technology, and commercial decision‑making, partnering with product, risk, and commercial teams to embed privacy by design from the outset.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on privacy, data protection, and responsible AI for strategic initiatives and market expansion.
• Partner with product teams to embed privacy‑by‑design principles and manage emerging‑technology risks.
• Lead privacy impact assessments and develop practical governance frameworks that enable innovation.
• Interpret global privacy obligations, support cross‑border data use, and guide market‑entry strategies.
• Collaborate with risk, information services, and commercial leaders to balance regulatory compliance with business objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience advising on privacy, data governance, and AI ethics in a technology‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to work early with stakeholders, understand commercial goals, and implement practical risk‑mitigation guardrails.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience conducting privacy impact assessments.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles and emerging technology risk management.
