General Project Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Project Superintendent to lead the delivery of a multi‑million‑dollar marine infrastructure project in Wellington. You will be responsible for overseeing both marine and landside works, ensuring safety, quality and programme performance throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site delivery of wharf construction, carparks, utilities and concrete structures.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders to achieve safe and efficient execution.
• Drive programme, budget and resource planning to meet project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve technical and delivery issues.
• Maintain client relationships and provide regular progress updates.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• 10+ years of civil construction experience, preferably on marine or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale projects.
• Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Focused on safety, planning and delivery.
