General Practitioner (GP) – Central Christchurch

About the role

Woodham Road Medical Centre is seeking up to two General Practitioners to join a friendly, experienced team in central Christchurch. The practice offers a supportive environment with a mix of in‑practice and virtual sessions, focusing on high‑needs patients and collaborative care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse community, including high‑needs patients.
• Collaborate with skilled nurses, administrative staff, and fellow GPs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Participate in the regional shared after‑hours roster, including occasional evening sessions.
• Engage in teaching and mentorship within the practice’s teaching environment.
• Utilise both face‑to‑face and virtual consultation modalities as required.

Required profile

• Vocationally registered GP or working toward registration.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Strong clinical and service skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Interest in delivering care to high‑needs patients and a commitment to team collaboration.
• Willingness to work approximately 8 sessions per week with flexible hours.
