General Manager - Operations (Auckland)

About the role

Lineage, the world's largest temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, is seeking an operational leader for its Auckland operation, which comprises the flagship Wiri facility and oversight of the Kerepehi site. Reporting to the Regional Director Operations - New Zealand, you will lead a team of about 45 employees and drive excellence across safety, service, customer satisfaction, people capability and commercial outcomes. The role suits someone who is highly visible, approachable and comfortable on the warehouse floor as well as reviewing financial performance and engaging with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Create a safety-first culture, build trust through accountability and clear communication, and coach and mentor leaders at all levels
• Drive productivity, efficiency and service performance, ensure inventory integrity and accuracy, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain strong compliance and operational governance standards
• Own site financial performance, including budget, cost management and forecasting
• Build relationships with customers and key stakeholders, identify commercial opportunities and support regional growth

Required profile

• Background in logistics, supply chain, FMCG, food manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, transport, industrial operations or large-scale manufacturing
• Proven success leading complex operational environments and medium-to-large workforces through frontline leaders
• Experience improving engagement, capability and performance, and a track record of operational improvement through people
• Commercial and financial acumen with P&L responsibility, and experience managing customer and stakeholder relationships
• Credibility, resilience and emotional intelligence to lead through change
