General Manager – Direct‑to‑Consumer Food Brand

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the launch of a new direct‑to‑consumer food brand into the United States market, operating from our Auckland office. You will be accountable for overall business performance, revenue growth and profitability while building a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the US market entry strategy for the food brand.
• Own P&L, set commercial targets and drive results against them.
• Recruit, mentor and manage a cross‑functional team responsible for sales, marketing, operations and finance.
• Establish partnerships, distribution channels and key customer relationships in the United States.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and adapt the business model accordingly.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in consumer goods, preferably food or DTC brands.
• Track record of successfully launching products in international markets, especially the US.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
