General Manager - Digital Engineering

About the role

Datacom is seeking a General Manager – Digital Engineering to lead the growth of its AI‑driven digital engineering services across New Zealand. You will be the face of Datacom’s AI solutions in the market, building awareness, generating leads and shaping the company’s position as a leader in enterprise transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Champion Datacom’s AI digital engineering portfolio to create market demand and generate qualified opportunities.
• Position the business as a leader in AI‑powered applications and enterprise transformation.
• Engage C‑suite executives to uncover needs, define solution road‑maps and influence buying decisions.
• Partner with practice managers and technical leads to scope, price and deliver complex solutions.
• Drive consultative selling, negotiate commercial terms and secure profitable contracts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of sales or business‑development leadership experience in technology or digital engineering services.
• Proven record of revenue growth and consultative selling to senior executives.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms for technology solutions.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
