Full‑Time Chef de Partie (Rooftop Kitchen)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, permanent Chef de Partie to join the busy kitchen at La Zeppa, a rooftop kitchen and bar in Auckland. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining high culinary standards and supporting the team during service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation and presentation.
• Complete ordering and stocktaking to manage food costs.
• Manage rosters and monitor wage costs.
• Ensure all food is pre‑pped and portioned prior to service.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on procedures.
• Maintain clear communication between kitchen, front‑of‑house and management.
• Follow the Food Control Plan and uphold cleaning and hygiene standards.

Required profile

• A relevant culinary qualification at NZQCF Level 4 or higher, or at least two years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
