Full-Time Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

About the role
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides essential support in the safe administration of medications to residents under the direction of nursing and medical staff. This full‑time position works within a healthcare facility to ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies.
Key responsibilities
- Administer oral and topical medications as ordered, following established nursing standards and facility policies.
- Document medication administration accurately in resident charts and required forms.
- Identify, report, and assist in investigating medication errors, including drug receipt discrepancies.
- Participate in quality‑assurance programs, pharmaceutical committees, and facility surveys.
- Assist with medication reconciliation for newly admitted residents and ensure proper labeling and disposal of medications.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support the preparation of reports, forms, and other administrative documentation related to medication management.
Required profile
- Ability to follow detailed policies and procedures for medication administration.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and error reporting.
- Effective communication skills to work with nursing, medical, and pharmacy teams.
- Commitment to resident safety and quality improvement initiatives.
