Full Stack PHP Developer (Laravel, AWS)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Full Stack PHP Developer to join a fast‑growing, product‑led tech company in Central Auckland. Working closely with the CTO and senior stakeholders, you will help shape technical direction, solve complex problems, and drive the evolution of core systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance applications using PHP, Laravel and Lumen.
• Contribute across the full stack with a pragmatic, product‑focused mindset.
• Develop and maintain services on an AWS‑based infrastructure.
• Challenge assumptions, propose new ideas, and influence system architecture.
• Help define technical standards and best practices in a rapidly evolving environment.

Required profile

• Strong experience with PHP and either Laravel or Lumen.
• Full‑stack capability, comfortable working beyond backend tasks.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and curiosity.
• Willingness to question direction and operate in a scrappy, evolving setting.
• Exposure to AI tooling or AI‑native development environments is a plus.
• Background in product‑led or startup environments.
