Front Desk Coordinator – Dental Practice

About the role

Join Lumino St Heliers as a Front Desk Coordinator, providing the first point of contact for patients in a modern dental practice. You will ensure a welcoming environment and smooth administrative flow for a busy team of clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, both in‑person and via phone or online channels.
• Schedule appointments and manage the practice calendar to optimise daily operations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including personal details and treatment information.
• Handle patient enquiries, providing clear information and exceptional customer service.
• Process payments, manage insurance claims and discuss treatment costs with patients.
• Coordinate closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless communication between front office and treatment areas.
• Keep the reception area clean, organised and presentable.

Required profile

• Previous experience in dental or healthcare administration (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to empathise with patients of all ages.
• Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Positive, professional attitude, especially in high‑pressure situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a close‑knit team.
• Valid NZ work rights and residence in Central Auckland.

Required skills

• Proficiency with dental practice management software.
• Strong computer skills for data entry and record‑keeping.
