Freight Handler & Driver – Invercargill

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Freight Handler and Driver to join our Invercargill branch. The role combines hands‑on freight handling with vehicle operation, offering a varied day‑to‑day routine in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely by hand or using a forklift where required.
• Handle all items without damage and ensure accurate on‑time scanning of freight.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe, proficient manner.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while supporting branch operational targets.
• Communicate effectively with team members and uphold strong working relationships.

Required profile

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 driver licence (mandatory).
• Valid forklift licence with OSH certification (mandatory).
• Customer‑focused attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks, including criminal history and drug/alcohol testing.

Required skills

• Class 1 driver licence.
• Forklift operation with OSH certification.
• Class 2 driver licence (preferred).
• Dangerous Goods endorsement (preferred).
