Freelance US-Qualified Patent Attorney – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a US‑qualified patent attorney to join our AI training projects on a freelance basis. You will work remotely with Mindrift, helping leading tech companies improve the performance of their AI systems through legal expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Generate challenging prompts that test AI reasoning in patent‑law contexts.
• Evaluate AI‑generated answers for correctness, underlying assumptions, and logical consistency.
• Refine AI reasoning to align with first‑principles legal standards.
• Apply structured scoring criteria to assess multi‑step problem‑solving outputs.

Required profile

• Law degree (JD, LLM, or equivalent) within the US legal system.
• Minimum 2 years of practising law in the United States, preferably in patent matters.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1/C2 level).
• Reliable high‑speed internet connection.
