Food & Beverage Attendant – Luxury Hotel (Part‑time)

About the role

Join Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as a Food & Beverage Attendant, delivering refined service in a chic, luxury hotel environment. This part‑time position focuses on the café and restaurant, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage shift operations for the outlet, including opening and closing procedures.
• Take orders, suggest menu items, and maximise sales through product knowledge.
• Accurately record orders and use the POS system to process transactions.
• Deliver meals promptly from the kitchen or bar, maintaining temperature and presentation.
• Maintain clean and tidy tables, service areas, and side stations throughout service.
• Provide high‑standard guest service, announcing dishes and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Uphold hygienic food‑service techniques and adhere to safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a 5‑star luxury hotel or fine‑dining environment.
• Experience in breakfast, dinner, banqueting, and café/bar service.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast‑paced setting and manage a designated section.

Required skills

• Proficient use of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Familiarity with Infrasys is a plus.
• Knowledge of gastronomy, beverages, and barista techniques.
