Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly Food & Beverage Attendant to join the team at Novotel Wellington. You will help create memorable dining experiences for guests across breakfast, lunch and dinner services in our hotel restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them promptly.
• Clear tables, reset settings and maintain a clean dining area.
• Handle guest queries, requests and complaints with care.
• Process payments using POS systems and manage cash/card transactions.
• Restock supplies and keep service stations tidy.
• Follow hygiene, safety and food‑handling procedures at all times.
• Communicate dietary needs or concerns to the kitchen team.
• Support colleagues and work collaboratively as part of the F&B team.
• Complete daily cleaning and closing checklists.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work a rotating 7‑day roster with shifts from 6:00 am to late night.
• Part‑time availability.
• Friendly, professional attitude and passion for hospitality.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift light trays.
• NZ citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work visa (no sponsorship).

Required skills

• POS system operation.
• Coffee machine operation (training provided if needed).
• Cash handling and card transaction processing.
• Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge.
