Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

Join the vibrant Food & Beverage team at Ibis Wellington and create memorable dining experiences for guests across breakfast, lunch and dinner services. This part‑time position offers a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where you’ll interact directly with guests and support seamless restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Deliver meals and drinks promptly, clear tables, and reset dining areas.
• Process payments using POS systems and handle cash or card transactions.
• Restock stations, maintain cleanliness, and follow hygiene and food safety procedures.
• Address guest queries, requests, and complaints with care.
• Communicate dietary needs or concerns to the kitchen team.
• Support colleagues, set up and pack down service areas, and complete closing checklists.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work a rotating 7‑day roster with shifts from 6:00 am to late night.
• Part‑time availability, NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa.
• Friendly, professional attitude and passion for hospitality.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift light trays.
• Previous experience in food & beverage, bar, or hotel service is preferred but not essential.

Required skills

• Operation of POS systems.
• Use of coffee machines or bar equipment (training provided).
• Basic food safety and hygiene practices.
