About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our English Learning Area at the start of Term 3, 2026. This full‑time, fixed‑term position (20 July 2026 – 8 December 2026) will cover maternity leave and is suitable for a first‑year teacher.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons up to NCEA Level 3.
- Contribute to a collaborative, student‑centred learning environment.
- Participate in the college’s extensive co‑curricular programme.
- Support the inclusive, culturally responsive ethos of the school.
Required profile
- Passion for high‑quality education and literature.
- Team‑player attitude with a willingness to innovate.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
- Suitable for a first‑year teacher.
Required skills
- Teaching English, preferably up to NCEA Level 3.
