About the role
We are seeking an experienced First Marine Engineer to join a deep‑sea fishing vessel operated by Sealord Group. The position involves rotating on‑board for 2‑6 weeks followed by an equal period off‑board, allowing a balanced work‑life schedule while operating in New Zealand waters.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out the duties of a 1st Marine Engineer on a deep‑sea fishing vessel.
- Maintain vessel readiness during on‑board rotations and support crew operations.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a 1st Marine Engineer.
- Willingness to work 2‑6 week on‑ and off‑board rotations.
- Interest in progressing towards a Chief Engineer career pathway.
