Field Service Engineer - Healthcare Equipment

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Auckland to keep advanced healthcare equipment operating safely and reliably. The role is field-based, supporting hospitals and surgical facilities with equipment such as robotic-assisted surgery systems, operating tables and theatre solutions. About 70% of the time involves travel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on Stryker medical equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues onsite and remotely
• Build strong relationships with clinicians, biomedical teams and hospital stakeholders
• Support customers across hospitals and surgical facilities
• Ensure service activities meet quality, regulatory and compliance requirements (ISO 13485)
• Manage inventory, spare parts and service documentation accurately
• Meet service KPIs on responsiveness, quality, safety and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Support, Customer Service and Operations teams

Required profile

• Customer and patient first mindset
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the state at short notice
• Preferred: experience servicing medical devices, healthcare technology or industrial equipment, knowledge of hospital environments, and field-based technical support experience
