Facility Nurse Manager – Aged Care

About the role

The Facility Nurse Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a modern, multi‑service aged‑care home and village in New Zealand. Working alongside an experienced clinical leadership team, you will focus on operational excellence, financial performance, compliance and building a high‑performing culture that delivers exceptional resident outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall performance and daily operations of the facility.
• Build, mentor and develop a positive, accountable team culture.
• Manage budgets, occupancy, resources and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand aged‑care standards and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to achieve excellent resident outcomes.
• Develop trusted relationships with residents, families and the wider community.
• Drive continuous improvement across people, quality and service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience within New Zealand aged‑care.
• Strong operational and people‑management capability.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing and business performance.
• Sound knowledge of quality, compliance and audit requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse (APC) – will be part of an on‑call roster.

Required skills

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse (APC) qualification.
