Facility Manager – Waikeria Prison

About the role

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead the delivery of facilities services at Waikeria Prison. This hands‑on leadership position oversees both a national contract and a public‑private partnership, ensuring all maintenance and operational activities meet contractual and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day reactive and planned maintenance works on the prison site.
• Administer and monitor performance of the National and PPP contracts.
• Lead subcontractors and internal trade teams, driving KPI achievement.
• Report operational and financial results to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance with health, safety, and HSSEQ regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in trade, property or facilities management.
• At least 3 years in a dedicated facilities or property management role.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and internal teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in reporting and KPI analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
