External Reporting Manager

About the role

Join ANZ’s Financial Control team as an External Reporting Manager, responsible for delivering accurate and timely external reporting for ANZ Bank New Zealand and its New Zealand branch. You will work closely with finance, audit and assurance teams to ensure statutory, regulatory and Group reporting requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory, statutory and Group reporting activities with strong governance, accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare disclosure and reporting outputs supported by clear analysis, robust documentation and audit‑ready evidence.
• Assess the impact of regulatory and disclosure changes and embed updates with appropriate controls.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders, external auditors and assurance teams to resolve queries and deliver agreed outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify reporting processes, strengthen controls and improve consistency across external reporting.

Required profile

• Curious, detail‑focused professional eager to grow capability in external reporting.
• Experience in financial, statutory, regulatory or Group reporting.
• Strong technical accounting capability with the ability to apply reporting requirements accurately.
• Sound judgement, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Confidence engaging with finance stakeholders, external auditors and regulatory bodies.
