Excavator Operator – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our pipeline and civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand. The successful candidate will operate excavators on a variety of construction sites, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality assets while upholding our strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently on pipeline and civil construction projects.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and report any issues.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project schedules and quality standards.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures on‑site.

Required profile

• Valid full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Current RTW (Road Train/Heavy Vehicle) endorsement.
• Proven experience operating heavy plant, specifically excavators.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment health, drug/alcohol and criminal background checks.
