Event Manager / Assistant for Community Food Truck Tour

About the role

We are seeking energetic, people‑first individuals to join Open Circle’s tour across Auckland as Event Managers / Assistants. You will be the on‑site face of our free community food‑truck nights, ensuring each event runs smoothly from setup to pack‑down.

Key responsibilities

• Set up event sites, manage signage, control crowd flow and oversee pack‑down.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, stakeholders and crew members on the day.
• Post live updates and content on social‑media channels throughout each event.
• Guarantee a seamless experience for vendors, visitors and team members.
• Troubleshoot unexpected issues quickly and efficiently.
• Contribute ideas to grow the Open Circle Tour’s reputation across the city.

Required profile

• Friendly, outgoing personality – you’ll be the event’s public face.
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel to multiple locations across Auckland.
• Calm under pressure, able to think fast and maintain a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail and pride in doing tasks correctly.
• University student or recent graduate preferred, but open to all motivated candidates.
