Event Duty Manager – Live Events & Alcohol Service

About the role

We are looking for experienced Event Duty Managers to lead front-of-house teams and ensure smooth operations at high-profile live events. You will be responsible for overseeing bar operations, compliance with alcohol licensing, and maintaining a safe, vibrant atmosphere for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, including licence conditions and duty manager signage.
• Supervise, motivate and direct bar staff, floor servers and security teams during high-volume shifts.
• Monitor crowd safety, enforce capacity limits and manage emergency or evacuation procedures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

Required profile

• Current, valid General Manager’s Certificate and up-to-date Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ).
• 1–2 years of proven experience managing high-volume bars, festivals, weddings or corporate functions.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends and public holidays.
