Estimator – Remedial Works

About the role

Freyssinet New Zealand is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its Auckland‑based Remedial team. You will own the estimating and tendering process from early opportunity assessment through to submission, working closely with technical and delivery teams on complex, high‑value remedial and strengthening projects across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for remedial construction projects.
• Develop methodologies, construction programmes and pricing strategies.
• Coordinate and write high‑quality tender and bid submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Provide technical and commercial input during pre‑contract planning.
• Support the team in identifying and converting new project opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating or pre‑contract roles.
• Strong background in remedial works or specialist construction.
• Proven capability in costings, bid coordination, tender writing, planning and methodology development.
• Commercially minded, detail‑driven and comfortable with technically complex projects.
• Preferred background as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with experience in repairs, marine works, strengthening or heavy construction.
