Engineering Technician 4 – Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

As an Engineering Technician 4 in the Manufacturing Engineering group, you will support the design, testing, modification and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. Working from schematics, diagrams and work instructions, you will conduct testing, troubleshoot faults and help resolve day‑to‑day PM test issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to Test Technicians by troubleshooting new or persistent issues, performing rework and reviewing schematics.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical system problems using Best Known Methods, technical bulletins and FCOs.
• Inspect materials and components for defects and measure circuitry with electronic test equipment, precision instruments and microscopes.
• Conduct operational tests, fault isolation and support the design, construction and checkout of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
• Collaborate with development engineers to collect design data and support research activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of relevant experience in installation, maintenance, repair, testing or troubleshooting of equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficiency with computer‑based data systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on a shift schedule.
