Engineering Lead

About the role

Grizzly is building an AI‑first platform that streamlines the creation of competitive bid responses for governments and private organisations. As Engineering Lead you will own the technical direction, architecture and delivery of this product, working closely with the CEO and product lead.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end technical side of the product, including architecture, infrastructure and security.
• Evolve the agent harness that determines what the AI model sees, when it sees it, and how it can act.
• Design, develop and ship new features, fix bugs and keep the codebase healthy as it scales.
• Collaborate with product to decide what to build, how to approach it and when it is ready for release.
• Foster a culture of high ownership, low ego and thoughtful collaboration.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software in production.
• Comfortable across the full stack and able to move between front‑end and back‑end as needed.
• Strong interest in AI, large language models and agent‑based design (direct experience not required).
• Focus on why you are building, not just how, and comfortable working in a collaborative, scope‑defined environment.
• Proven ability to work without a detailed playbook in fast‑moving settings.
