Engineering Director / Development Director / CTO

About the role

Alphero is seeking a senior technology leader to steer its engineering and development practice into the next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will align technology strategy with the company’s 2030 vision and inspire a diverse team of developers, QA specialists, and cloud engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve Alphero’s technology roadmap in partnership with the CEO.
• Lead mobile, web, full‑stack, cloud and QA teams, ensuring delivery of high‑quality outcomes for multiple clients.
• Anticipate market trends, make strategic bets on emerging capabilities, and prepare the team for future opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and sales on pre‑sales activities and technical leadership.
• Foster a culture of learning, mentorship, and continuous professional growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior engineering leadership roles (Director, CTO, Head of Engineering).
• Strong ability to inspire, communicate clearly, and create strategic clarity.
• Deep understanding of digital architectures, development best practices, and modern technology stacks.
• Empathetic, curious, pragmatic with a sense of humour and high energy.

Required skills

• Leadership of mobile, web, full‑stack, cloud and QA teams.
• Strategic technology planning and roadmap development.
• Experience with multi‑client, multi‑sector digital programmes.
• Collaboration with product, design, project management and sales functions.
