About the role
The Engineering Trade Assistant will support maintenance and operations at Mitchpine Sawmill, assisting the engineering team in daily tasks and ensuring smooth plant performance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers with routine maintenance activities and equipment inspections.
- Help prepare tools, parts, and documentation for scheduled repairs.
- Support the operation team by troubleshooting minor issues and reporting findings.
- Follow safety and environmental procedures while working on the sawmill floor.
Required profile
- Ability to work on-site in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior engineers.
