Employment Coordinator

About the role

Silver Fern Farms Takapau is looking for an Employment Coordinator to implement, maintain and facilitate good employment practices on site. The role supports managers, applicants and employees while delivering recruitment, selection and onboarding initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver people‑related initiatives, including recruitment, selection and onboarding.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to managers and staff, continuously improving HR service quality.
• Maintain compliance with New Zealand employment and HR law.
• Streamline processes that support skill and technical development across the business.

Required profile

• Previous experience in HR or recruitment.
• Strong influencing and culture‑building abilities aligned with company values.
• Tech‑savvy with experience using HR systems and social media for recruitment.
• Excellent organisational, planning and relationship‑building skills.
• High customer‑service focus and ability to make timely, quality decisions.
• Good knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation.
