Duty Manager

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Duty Manager to lead the daily operations of our modern pub and restaurant in Khandallah. The role combines front‑of‑house leadership with responsibility for licensing compliance, financial oversight and delivering a consistently high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate staff during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth service from brunch to evening cocktails.
• Maintain compliance with all local licensing regulations and uphold the venue’s licence requirements.
• Monitor sales, cash handling and basic financial reporting to keep the business on target.
• Drive service standards, address customer feedback promptly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Support team development by coaching staff, managing rotas and ensuring health‑and‑safety standards are met.

Required profile

• Current Duty Manager’s Licence.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar hospitality management role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of New Zealand licensing regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, energetic attitude.
• Leadership ability with a focus on delivering consistent quality.
